Getting Back to Me

My loves!!!

I missed you guys! No seriously, and TSW is taking the hell off and I have to get back to being consistent writing you. Yesterday I decided to start getting back to my old self, the self I was before my last relationship ruined me. In 2015, I started my weight loss journey, (Click Here to see how I started) and was eating healthy, doing the things I needed to do to not only lose weight but to become a better me. Although I lost the weight, it was more due to stress than it was due to me handling business. So I am back!

Last night I took the time to make an amazing salad and I’m sad that its all gone. With my Unchained Muscle Athletic Apparel brand ambassador gig, I want to get back to that girl. The girl who worked out every other day, the girl who preached losing weight isn’t just about losing weight, it’s a lifestyle change. So many people think “oh I can just lose weight and I’ll be happy” and they don’t take the time to maintain the process, and then get mad when the results they worked for goes away, because I’m convinced, us skinny people really believe we can eat whatever we want without consequence, but without work, there is no real gain, no real win, okay?

Losing weight isn’t just about losing weight, it’s a lifestyle change.

I will admit, I hate the negative outlook I hear from people, or the constant “wow you skinny”, BITCH I KNOW!! But I try to not let it get to me because I’m proud to say I didn’t do surgery to get these results, and I don’t have to continue to get surgery to maintain these results, I simply just have to live better! So I’d like to share with you guys, my weekly routine that I started last night. I will post them for you so that just in case you want to join in you can. By no means am I an expert, and you should consult with your PCP.

So, do you see this bomb ass salad? *Drools* It was amazing. I call it “Fajita Chicken Salad” LOL.img_7257-1

Fajita Chicken Salad
1 6oz bag of John Soules Frozen Fajita Chicken Strips (Purchased at Shop Rite)
1 Capful of Extra Virgin Olive Oil
2 Handfuls of Dole Spring Mix /  Baby Spinach (I don’t measure, LOL)
1 Boiled egg (yolk removed, diced the egg white)
2 Tablespoons of pre-diced Tomatoes
1 Slice of American cheese (I didn’t have shredded)
2 Tablespoons of diced Purple/Red Onion
1 Tablespoon of Ranch Dressing

So, I took my favorite T-Fal Skillet, and placed a capful of EVOO and allowed that to heat, which is usually quick and added the bag of chicken strips, still frozen. I did add additional seasons, adobo, ground black pepper, Mrs. Dash Table Blend and McCormick Pitch Blend Garlic and Herb. (Mrs. Dash and McCormick is salt-free, I do not have salt in my house because sodium is kinda in everything).
I also began to boil my egg at this time. I took two handfuls, which probably is about a cup and a half of the spring/spinach mix and placed it into my bowl, along with the tomatoes, onions, and cheese. As the chicken cooked, I cut the strips to make them smaller. Once they were done, I added about a ½ cup to my salad. Peeled the boiled egg and cut it in half to remove the yolk. My daughter, kept half of the egg white to eat, and I diced my half and added it to my salad and mixed. To mix, I put a plate on top of my bowl and we sang shake, shake, shake, shake yo booty, about 3 times. LOL. Added 1 tablespoon of ranch dressing. Ok, maybe 2, but I don’t like a super wet salad, just enough to add flavor, and we mixed our bowls again. On mine, I added just a little bit more black pepper (I’m addicted) and VIOLA! Dinnah – yes dinnah, was served.

Unfortunately, I didn’t get a picture of it with the dressing. I was completely famished after being high in anxiety yesterday, so I smashed, hulk style.  I’m back to adding workout into my days, so I ended it with 100 squats, 2 sets of 45-second planks and 50 crunches. My belly was full, and my body was hurting so good! Anxiety was still in full effect, so I burnt my sage and lavender incense and took a nice hot bubble bath and continued to mellow out to H.E.R.

It’s important to make sure you always take care of your mind, body, and spirit. I’m up today feeling better, the sun is shining and I’m handling business. I’ll share with you guys, something in my fitness world every week, moving forward.

If you happen to make the salad, try the workouts, or just have questions, feel free to hit me up! I’m always accessible for you.

Until next time….
Besos, My Love!
